A better question is, “Who is Pikimal?” We’re a group of people just like you: consumers who are tired of falling victim to sub-par products and clever marketing schemes. We’ve created a new way for people to customize their searches to easily find the perfect products for them, every time. Want a rosewood crib with slats no more than two inches apart? We’re the place to go. Need an HDTV with 3 HDMI connections that also streams web content? We’ve got your back there, too.
Essentially, we’re the ultimate buying guide to everything you’ve ever needed to buy (or at least we will be, as soon as we’ve created a Piki for it all). If you’ve ever been torn between two products or services -- from which digital camera to buy to which university to attend, you’ve needed Pikimal. We’re here to make your life easier, one decision at a time.

So how does all this work? Well, take a look...
A Piki contains all of the information about any item that you may be making a decision on. When you click a Piki, it automatically shows you the top ten best results.
A Piki also gives you access to the sliders to adjust preferences. Doing so will display results custom to your very own preferences (or those of an existing template).

What's a Piki?
A Piki is a tool that let’s you find the perfect product or service for you, every time. Say, for instance, that you’re looking for a digital camera. To find the perfect camera for you, you don’t need to give yourself a three hour education via Google and Wikipedia. All you need to know is what you want.
If you want a digital camera with a touch-screen, a 3CCD sensor and at least 12 megapixels, all you have to do is say so via the sidebar or sliders. All relevant specs are listed, right down to the color of the cameras themselves. Don’t know what a 3CCD sensor is? No problem -- we explain all technical features right in the Piki, with extended articles about particularly complex or interesting specs.
As you manipulate the sidebar to specify what it is that you’re looking for in a camera, the list of products changes -- in real time. You get the right decision, right away. Pretty cool, right?
A Piki isn’t just the greatest revolution in decision making since the 5th grade “Check Yes or No” note, it’s a verb. So go on, Piki It.
What are Sliders?
Sliders are things that are hard to describe without physically showing you what they are. So, look to your left and check out the screenshot. Where you move the slider is what you’re saying your preference is about the particular feature.
If you do not see all of the options you're interested in listed on the sidebar, try clicking the "customize results" button under the sidebar on the left. This will bring up the sliders and allow you to manually adjust all criteria. You can save your results as a new template for other Pikimal users to use!
What's an Item?
Items are all of the products that you’re choosing from when you use a Piki. The Digital Camera Piki has items (in this case, digital cameras) to sort through as you move the sliders. If you’re looking for a camera that is under 12 ounces, has at least 10 megapixels and costs less than $150, the Piki finds those and places those items at the top of your list. Pikis make shopping for complicated items simple.
